Jupiter's Preferred Option Lease is unique for three important reasons
which combined, offer music educators the most advantageous
lease/purchase program available today.
Affordability:
The Jupiter Lease Plan offers the most competitive and affordable
plan of any available to schools. Jupiter's tremendous price
advantage, combined with the lowest lease rates available,
offer your program the benefit of high quality instruments
at the lowest possible cost. When compared to other lease
plans, you will find you are able to obtain additional instruments
with the Jupiter plan for the same amount of money.
Flexibility:
The lease is structured to comply with the termination provisions
required by most states, so that in the event funds are
not renewed, schools can cancel the lease agreement after
each current budget year without obligation, regardless
of lease term.
Ownership:
Upon Jupiter's receipt of your final scheduled lease payment,
the instruments become the property of your school. No additional payments or fees are due.

Can
school systems pay interest?
School systems pay interest on leased or financed equipment
for school buses, computer systems, and other major equipment
needs. What most school systems are not allowed to do is
enter into a traditional installment sale transaction that
would require the school to commit to future payments beyond
their current budget year. With the Jupiter lease program,
the school has the option of making scheduled lease payments
beyond the initial budget year, however, if funds are not
allocated to make these payments, a termination clause exists
that allows the school to return the instruments to Jupiter
upon the expiration of their current lease term with no
further financial obligation.
When
are lease payments due?
The first lease payment should be forwarded to Jupiter with
the signed lease contract. Future lease payments are due
annually on the anniversary of the delivery date until the
completion of the lease term.

Contact
Jupiter's Customer Service Department and prepare a list
of instruments, regardless of purchase price, that meet
your anticipated needs for the next several years. The Customer
Service agent will prepare a lease proposal based on this
list and work with you to insure that the annual lease payment
fits into your current operating budget.
When
you have finalized a specific lease proposal with Customer
Service, then you should have a school official sign the
proposal, indicate the length of term desired (3 or 5 years)
and return the document to Jupiter's Customer Service Department.
If
you are a band booster group, private school, or church
group you will also be asked to provide additional financial
information in conjunction with the signed lease proposal.
Upon
Jupiter's receipt of the signed proposal, a formal lease
contract will be prepared by Jupiter and mailed to you for
signature. This lease should be signed by an authorized
school agent if the lease is with a public school, or two
board members if the lease is with a Band Booster of similar
type group.
Upon
Jupiter's receipt of the signed contract and the first lease
payment, the instruments will be shipped, prepaid, to the
shipping address designated on the contract.
